API Connections

Exchange API Connections

The platform connects to supported crypto exchanges via API keys. This connection enables STB to execute trades and CRA to analyze accounts, without requiring the platform to hold user funds.

What It Is

Exchange API Connections are secure integrations with spot and, where supported, derivatives exchanges. Users manage their own API keys and can enable or restrict permissions according to their risk preferences.

How It Works

Users generate API keys on their exchanges and add them to the platform via secure forms. STB uses trading permissions to place and manage orders. CRA uses read permissions to fetch balances, positions, and trade history. Users can remove keys at any time.

Who It Is For

  • Users with accounts on multiple exchanges

  • Traders who want centralized automation without moving funds to a custodian

  • Advanced users who arbitrage or diversify across platforms

Risks It Helps Reduce

Centralizing monitoring and execution reduces the risk of losing oversight across multiple accounts. However, API key misuse, exchange outages, and market events remain risks. Users are encouraged to use IP whitelisting, minimal permissions, and exchange security features.

Connection to STB and CRA

STB uses API connections to execute strategies in real time. CRA relies on the same connections for accurate data, allowing users to see a consolidated view of risk, balances, and performance.
